WATERWAYS NEWSLETTER: MARCH 2012

The March newsletter is complete!  Please be sure to read the exciting report of the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show on page one.  This month, I've included some new and outstanding brokerage yachts, in addition to many that have seen recent reductions.

As explained in my opening letter, we are quite low on stock due to the overwhelming response of buyers in Miami, but on pages 3 and 4, you'll find new boats in stock as well as those arriving soon.

Of note are the two 51' Bertrams, a 2010 on page 2 and a 2012 on page 3.  Both are being offered at great prices and are well worth a look!

RIVA AQUARIVA SUPER YACHT

Following a good article about the 33' Aquariva, a repost of FLUX Magazine's December 5 article.  For some reason, they used rendering photos of the yacht, but I have actual photos if you'd like to see them.  Just let me know!

Riva Yachts, Italian motorboat makers, have created a luxurious yacht that surpasses opulence. The Aquariva Super Yacht will set you back a couple of million, but it’s worth every buck. You don’t get more luxurious and over the top wow-factors that this zippy vessel has to offer.

Firstly, it’s a 33-foot boat with an interior stylish enough to rival any penthouse suite, while the exterior is made from anodized aluminium and a textile-based laminate to give it a high tech look. The result is basically this: you’re very comfortable, well fed, well pampered and look super cool while cruising over the waves in a futuristic-looking yacht with everyone else wondering how they’ll ever be as cool as you.

The gorgeously carved wooden deck (mahogany inlaid with maple) gives the Aquariva a taste of tradition while the innovative, electronically-controlled, two speed gearbox brings it into the modern age with the help of the two powerful 380 hp Yanmar motors. The result? 41 knots of maximum speed and 36 of cruising speed.

On my recent trip to Italy, I had the exciting opportunity and great pleasure

to sea trial both the Pershing 80' and the Pershing 92',

which is making its U.S. debut at the

Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, October 27-31.

All I can say is, "WOW!"

Both exceeded my expectations by a mile in all regards:

luxury, speed, handling, performance, etc, etc, etc!

I've put together a short video to share some of the excitement.

Some of you may have read that I'm starting a new program of recording video tours of my central listings.  Well, we are off to kind of a slow start, with the hip surgery setting me back a bit.  And, we are learning that there is a bit more to it, with HD and editing and music royalties (which we ignorantly and embarrassingly breached but have now fixed).
